Meat Dishes

Ingredients :

  • 1 medium onion
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices of stale bread (crumbled)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 3-4 parsley sprigs
  • 1 garlic clove

Preparation :

  • Wash and finely chop the parsley. Crumble the bread. Grate the garlic.
  • Grate the onion and squeeze out the juice using a strainer.
  • Put the squeezed onion into a mixing bowl.
  • Add the minced meat, egg, bread crumbs, baking soda, black pepper, salt, thyme, garlic, and chopped parsley. Knead for 10 minutes.
  • Cover the mixture and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs.
  • Preheat a pan and sear the meatballs on high heat on all sides.
  • After searing, reduce heat and cook meatballs for 15 minutes, turning occasionally. Turn off the heat when cooked through.
